New Foodie Goodies jet-fresh from Paris!!!
We love hosting visitors in our adopted city of Hong Kong, especially when they come armed with delicious delicacies, then they are even more welcomed through our doors! Today, a good friend of the Mister’s arrived from Paris, loaded with a bounty of goodies thoughtfully prepared by his wife (a fellow foodie / gourmet chef). She truly knew the way into another foodie’s heart, and I’m so excited to start opening jars and bottles, and munching on these rare treasures with a good loaf of Robuchon bread.
(Below) a tall tower of gourmet vinegar with the essence of walnut, standing proud like the Eiffel Tower.
Tender, soft morsels of pistachio cookies – much with the same texture as finaciers.
A cod fish spread, seeped in milk.
Cream of chestnuts and dark chocolate coated ginger.
Pure olive oil and fig jam.
Delicate flakes of sea salt.
Duck terrine!!! This will taste SO GOOD on crusty freshly baked baguette!
The first time I’ve seen such pretty mustard! In a gorgeous shade of blushing rose from black currents.
Pretty and delicate – flowers of sugar! Perfect for that classy cup of tea
And last but not least, fine wine!
Mine, ALL mine!!!!!!!!!
Merci beaucoup! I can’t wait to start trying all these amazing treats!
